The Dubai World Cup Carnival is a major festival that leads to the iconic Dubai World Cup day, the most prestigious day of Dubai horse racing in the world. The Dubai World Cup date is a thoroughbred horse racing event that is held annually since 1996 and contested at the Meydan Racecourse. It is a place where people congregate and compete, it acts as a meeting point in the Emirate of Dubai in UAE. The Dubai World Cup Carnival 2021 is worth around US $6M prize money and is supposed to be held across 7 race meetings which will be commencing from January to March. It is a season of top-class international race days contested by exclusive high-profile owners, coaching trainers, horses, and jockeys from all across the globe. The major preparation for Dubai World Cup day is on the famous Super Saturday meeting. This very meet will be conducted on Saturday, March 06, 2021. This eventful race meeting alone is worth about $1.7 million, this Super Saturday allows the trainers to put the last finishing touches to their stunning stars before they appear for racing on the biggest stage that has been going on since Dubai World Gold Cup 2017. This starts with the official rehearsal for the Dubai World Cup since it is a major session that includes Dubai World Cup Soccer as well.
The final race of Dubai World Cup night was created back in 1996 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum that chaired as the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the dynastic Ruler of Dubai who also happens to be the owner of Darley Stud & Godolphin Racing that forms one of the world's leading thoroughbred breeding and racing operations of this prestigious world cup.
This race’s first winner was appointed the future United States Hall of Fame Thoroughbred Cigar that was owned by Allen E. Paulson. Following this, a plaque honoring will be hosted wherein a horse hangs outside the barn of Bill Mott at Belmont Park. In 2006, the Dubai World Cup was broadcast live on TVG Network and HRTV and taped later for showing on ABC with other interesting activities. It was the first time that the race was shown on national TV in the United States.
Although, this conference will be held on last Saturday in March kick-starting with the Dubai World Cup which is a part of the Dubai World Cup Night of races. Before 2009 which was held at Nad Al Sheba Racecourse. In 2010, the Dubai World Cup was first held at the new Meydan Racecourse on March 27 on an all-weather surface that was commonly known as Tapeta. However, due to the high maintenance cost and unpopular conditions of the American participants, it was held as a dirt race again in 2015.
Altogether, it has around 158 horses, which were conditionally trained by 63 trainers from across 12 countries that will be competing for the prestigious prizes that will be offered to them during the seven-meeting 2021 Dubai World Cup Carnival held at the Meydan Racecourse.

Announcing the winners, the Dubai Racing Club (DRC) confirmed that the Carnival will begin on January 21 and then wrap up with Super Saturday on March 6 being the official dress rehearsal for the historic and memorable 25th running of the Dubai World Cup on March 27. The 2020 Dubai World Cup had to be postponed due to the worldwide ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
However, in 2020, the DWC Carnival could witness entries of many horses from Great Britain, Ireland, Oman, Sweden, UAE, USA, South Africa, Bahrain, Denmark, Korea, Japan, Spain, France, and Norway either to compete and this would have created an amazing competitive atmosphere. Racing fans then look forward to strong international participation at this year’s extravaganza competition based on the horses that have been approved to run.
