The 14-day Dubai visa is a single-entry permit issued under the UAE federal visa framework, valid for short business trips and focused tourist visits across all seven UAE emirates — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umm Al Quwain. The visa allows up to 14 days of stay in the UAE from your date of entry. The visa itself remains valid for 58 days from the date of issue, giving you flexibility to schedule your travel within that window.

Applications for the 14-day Dubai visa are submitted entirely online through Dubai E Visa Online — no embassy visit, no in-person submission. Standard processing takes 24 to 72 hours from document submission to approval. For travellers with confirmed flights within the next 5 days, the Dubai Express Visa service delivers approved visas within 4 to 24 hours. The required documents are listed below.

Who Should Apply for a 14-Day Dubai Visa

The 14-day Dubai visa fits a specific traveller profile. It works best for:

  • Business travellers attending short conferences, trade shows, or client meetings in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or other UAE cities
  • Investors and entrepreneurs visiting UAE for company registration, property viewings, or partnership discussions
  • Tourists planning a focused 1-2 week trip without needing a longer 30 or 60-day window
  • Travellers using Dubai as a base for short stays before continuing to other countries
  • Visitors with confirmed return travel dates within 14 days of UAE entry

If your stay is shorter than 14 days but longer than 4 days, the 14-day visa still applies — there is no shorter option between the 96-hour transit visa and this 14-day visa. If you need to stay longer than 14 days, the 30-day single-entry visa or 60-day single-entry visa are the next options.

Understanding the 58-Day Validity vs 14-Day Stay

One important detail about the 14-day Dubai visa often confuses applicants. The visa carries two separate time limits:

  • Visa validity: 58 days from the date of issue. This is the window during which you must enter the UAE.
  • Stay validity: 14 days from the date you actually enter the UAE.

This means if your visa is issued on 1 January, you have until 27 February to enter the UAE. Once you enter (for example, on 15 February), your 14-day stay clock starts from that day. You can stay until 28 February in this example.

This flexibility is useful if your travel plans shift after applying. As long as you enter within the 58-day window, your stay duration is unaffected.

Dubai Visa Requirements 2 Weeks Visa Dubai

The following paperwork is required to issue a 14-day Dubai Visa

  • At least six months remain on your passport after the date of your intended entrance.
  • A current photo with a plain white background must be submitted.
  • You must submit documentation of your trip arrangements, such as a hotel reservation or a relative's booking details, to apply for a 14-day tourist visa Dubai.
  • It is advised, but not required, to have a confirmed airline ticket to guarantee a seamless visa application procedure.

In addition to the above documents, applicants should ensure that:

  • The passport bio page scan is clear and legible — blurred or partially cut scans are a common reason for processing delays
  • The photograph is recent (taken within the last 6 months), with the face clearly visible and no glasses or head covering except for religious reasons
  • The hotel reservation or accommodation proof is in the applicant's name and covers the full intended stay
  • All names entered in the application form match exactly what appears on the passport's machine-readable zone (MRZ)

For business travellers, an invitation letter from the UAE-based hosting company can support the application but is not strictly required for a 14-day visa. The standard documentation listed above is sufficient for most applicants.

Dubai Visa Application Process

To apply for 14 day Dubai Visa, you must follow these steps:

  • To Apply for 14-day business visa, click on the Dubai E Visa Online
  • Select your country of residence and citizenship
  • Follow the details of your Dubai visa application, which includes filling in your passport information, name, and address at your convenience.
  • Pay your Dubai visa fees using your accepted payment method, including debit/credit cards, WeChat, UPI, etc.
  • Once it is approved, you will get your 2-week visa in Dubai via email or WhatsApp. You can Track your Dubai Visa Status here.

When to Apply

Most travellers apply for their 14-day Dubai visa 1-2 weeks before their intended travel date. Because the visa is valid for 58 days from issue, applying earlier is fine — but applying too far in advance reduces flexibility if travel dates change. The minimum recommended application window is 5-7 working days before travel for standard processing, or 1-2 days before travel if using Express processing.

After approval, your visa is sent as a PDF document by email and WhatsApp. Print a copy and carry it with you on the flight. Most airlines will check for the visa at boarding, and UAE immigration will check it again on arrival.

Important Rules for 14-Day Dubai Visa Holders

Before travelling on a 14-day Dubai visa, please note the following important rules:

  • The 14-day visa is single-entry only. Once you exit the UAE, the visa cannot be used to re-enter — you must apply for a new visa. Working on a 14-day tourist or business visa is illegal. Employment of any kind requires a separate UAE-employer-sponsored work visa. Working without authorisation results in deportation and a re-entry ban.
  • The visa cannot be extended beyond 14 days. Visitors needing more time must exit the UAE and apply for a new visa, or apply for a 30-day or 60-day visa from the start.
  • Overstay is fined at AED 50 per day starting from the day after your visa expires. Overstay records remain on your UAE immigration file permanently.
  • The visa is federally valid across all seven UAE emirates — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umm Al Quwain.

Why 14-Day Dubai Visa Applications Get Rejected

Most rejections are avoidable. The most common reasons applications are denied:

  • Passport with less than 6 months validity from the intended UAE entry date
  • Photograph not meeting UAE specifications — coloured background instead of pure white, glasses worn, low resolution, or face not centred
  • Name on application form does not exactly match the passport MRZ (a frequent issue for applicants whose names use diacritics, transliteration from non-Latin scripts, or middle names not consistently included)
  • Previous unresolved UAE overstay or unpaid fines on the applicant's immigration record
  • Active UAE travel ban from a past violation that has not been formally lifted Uncancelled previous UAE residence or employment visa still active in the system
  • Hotel booking or accommodation proof not in the applicant's name, or not covering the full stay duration

If your application is rejected, the visa fee is non-refundable as the government processing charge has already been incurred. Reapplication is possible after addressing the specific issue identified by immigration.
