14 Day Business Visa

Many travellers who search for a Dubai visa expect a paid application. For most Australian passport holders visiting for tourism, that is not how entry works. Current sources list Australian passports as eligible for visa-free or visa-on-arrival entry at UAE ports, with no advance application. This page explains the Dubai visa for Australian passport holders in plain terms. It then covers the situations where a pre-arranged visa may still make sense, such as a different passport, a different visa category or a longer plan. If one of those applies to you, you can apply for a Dubai visa online through Dubai E Visa Online. It is a private travel service, not a government body.
Searches for a Dubai tourist visa for Australian citizens are common, so here is the short version:
Eligibility depends on the passport you hold, not on where you were born or where you live. The UAE publishes lists of nationalities that can enter without applying first. Reports based on those lists place Australia among them. Some sources call it visa-free entry, others call it visa on arrival, and the experience at the border is similar. Immigration stamps the passport on arrival, and no application is made beforehand.
I found no single UAE government page for Australia in our research. The information comes from news coverage of UAE Digital Government and airline lists, plus travel data sites. Those can lag behind policy. Before you book, confirm the position on the ICP website, with your airline, or with the nearest UAE embassy or consulate.
Three points follow from this:
Australia has a large population of people who were born elsewhere. That makes the difference between citizenship and residence important here. Three situations are easy to confuse:
People who search for a Dubai visa for Australian residents often belong to the third group. That group needs more careful checking.
A Dubai visa for expats in Australia is decided mainly by the passport the person holds. Permanent residents, students and temporary work visa holders in Australia do not gain Australian-passport entry conditions by living there. The same goes for a Dubai visa for foreign residents in Australia.
Some UAE entry arrangements do take other documents into account. A residence permit from certain countries has been linked to special visa-on-arrival categories for some nationalities. These rules are narrow and change, so check the current position for your own passport before you assume anything. If your passport is not on the visa-free or visa-on-arrival lists, a pre-arranged visa may be the route to consider.
For an Australian passport holder travelling for tourism, a paid pre-arranged visa is generally not required. That does not make the options below irrelevant. They may suit a traveller who wants a specific category, who holds another passport, or whose plans do not fit the standard entry. For wider background, see our guide to Dubai visa types.
The listings for Australia on our site currently show the products below. They are private service listings, and the prices are "starting from" figures in US dollars.
Two terms matter. Stay is how long you may remain after entering. Validity is the window in which you must use the visa. They are not the same number.
The 30-day products appear in our listings as a single-entry visa from $154 per person and a multiple-entry visa from $450 per person. Both show a 30-day stay and 60 days of validity.
The 30-day figure also appears in older UAE entry lists for Australians. Newer sources report 90 days. If an older article told you "30 days", it may be out of date. If you only need a standard holiday and your passport is Australian, check the current entry position first, because you may not need to buy anything.
The 60-day products are listed as single entry from $421 per person and multiple entry from $700 per person. Both show a 60-day stay and 60 days of validity. The single-entry listing is marked as extendable by up to two weeks, and the multiple-entry listing is marked not extendable.
This option is most relevant to travellers who need a pre-arranged visa and plan a longer visit. If you hold an Australian passport and the reported 90-day entry applies, a 60-day product would give you a shorter stay than standard entry. Compare before you pay.
A Dubai visit visa from Australia can also cover short-stay, business or transit needs. Current listings include a 7-day short visa from $125, a 14-day business visa from $138, and 48-hour and 96-hour transit visas from $121 and $137. They also list a 90-day leisure visa from $850.
A business visit visa is for business activities such as meetings. It does not automatically allow employment or paid work in the UAE.
Transit needs depend on your nationality, final destination, airline, time in Dubai and whether you leave the airport. Many Australian travellers connect through Dubai, but whether you need anything extra depends on those factors. Read the Dubai transit visa rules and check with your airline.
It helps to separate two lists. The first is what UAE entry may require. The second is what a private visa service asks for when you apply for a pre-arranged visa.
For visa-free or on-arrival entry, I could not verify a fixed document list from a UAE authority. Border officers and airlines may check your passport, your onward or return travel and your accommodation details. Requirements can vary by airline and airport, so confirm them with your carrier.
For a pre-arranged visa through our service, the current checklist asks for:
These are service requirements. They are not a complete statement of UAE government rules. Our own pages are not fully consistent on whether a hotel booking is needed, so confirm the current position on the live application form before you buy anything.
Whichever route applies, an Australian passport Dubai visa or entry check starts with the passport. Before you travel:
If you apply for a pre-arranged visa, the passport details you type must match the scan exactly.
If you decide a pre-arranged visa suits your situation, the steps are simple. Our guide to the Dubai visa application in three easy steps gives the outline. In practice:
Our service states that UAE visit visas go through a licensed UAE sponsor and that it acts as the sponsor. It also states that it is a private agency, not affiliated with GDRFA, ICP or any UAE embassy, and that approval rests solely with UAE immigration.
A Dubai visa online from Australia works the same way in every state. Applicants in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and regional areas upload documents the same way, so location does not change the steps. What does change is the passport you hold and the country you select as your residence.
Payment is by card. The site lists Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Australian cards usually allow international online payments, but check your own bank's settings. Because prices are listed in US dollars, your bank may add currency conversion charges.
For an Australian passport holder entering under the visa-free or visa-on-arrival arrangement, several sources describe the entry as free of charge. That is a reported position, not a figure from a government fee schedule, so confirm it before you travel.
Fees only apply if you buy a pre-arranged visa through a service. Costs depend on the visa type, the number of entries, the stay length, the processing option and the service charge. The listings show "starting from" prices per person in US dollars. We have not converted them, and they can change, so confirm the amount at checkout.
The site states that its price includes UAE government charges plus its service fee. The listings do not itemise the two parts, so do not treat the price as an official government fee.
A Dubai visa cost from Australia therefore ranges from nothing, where standard entry applies, to the listed service prices. A traveller comparing a Dubai visa price for Australian citizens should ask:
Families add the per-person price for each traveller. For a general breakdown of costs, see our guide to Dubai visa fees.
There is no application processing time for standard visa-free or on-arrival entry. The immigration decision is made at the border, and that decision rests with UAE immigration.
For pre-arranged products, the listings show indicative processing times:
| Visa product | Listed processing time |
|---|---|
| 7-day short, 14-day business, 90-day leisure | 1–2 days |
| 30-day and 60-day single or multiple entry | 3–4 days |
| 48-hour transit | 1–2 days |
| 96-hour transit | 4–5 days |
| 2-year freelancer | 15–30 days |
These are indicative and not guarantees. Actual time depends on application volume, document quality and UAE immigration decisions. The site also carries a general "24–48 hours" line elsewhere. Where it differs from a product listing, rely on the listing.
Keep four ideas separate. Stay is how long you may remain. Validity is the window in which you must use the visa. Entry type is single or multiple. Processing time is how long an application takes.
A Dubai tourist visa from Australia that is valid for 60 days does not let you stay for 60 days unless the stay figure says so. For Australian passport holders using standard entry, recent sources report a stay of up to 90 days. One source describes this as counted within a 180-day period. An older UAE entry list showed 30 days. The current rule can change, so confirm it with ICP, GDRFA or your airline.
Extensions are not guaranteed. Some sources describe ICP extension routes for stays beyond the standard period, but eligibility depends on the visa type and current rules. Some of our listings are marked extendable and others are not. If you may need more time, plan for it before you travel. You can learn about Dubai visa extension procedures.
Overstay penalties and any grace period are set by UAE immigration and have changed over time. Secondary websites often quote old or conflicting amounts, so verify the current rule with an authority and leave before your permitted stay ends.
Before you fly from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or elsewhere, work through this list:
The UAE entry position covers the UAE only. Transit countries on your route have their own rules.
If you receive a pre-arranged visa, check it carefully. You can learn how to verify a Dubai visa with our guide.
Express options matter only if you are using a pre-arranged visa and have a close travel date. The Dubai express visa service is built for urgent applications. It can shorten waiting, but it needs complete and correct documents, and it does not guarantee approval. For more detail, read about express visa services.
If you hold an Australian passport and plan a standard tourist trip, you may not need express handling at all, because there may be no application to speed up.
If you applied for a pre-arranged visa, you can follow progress online. Use the tracking page to check your Dubai visa status with your application details. Keep your reference number and passport details ready.
If it seems delayed, first confirm your submitted details are correct. Then contact support rather than submitting a duplicate application.
No guidance can prevent every refusal, because UAE immigration decides. Avoidable issues include:
Read our guide to common reasons for Dubai visa rejection before you submit. If an application is refused, find out why before reapplying. Check the site's refund policy before you pay.
