14 Day Business Visa

Planning Dubai from Montevideo? Check one thing before you spend money: whether your passport already gets you in. Travel-information sources, and a report citing UAE foreign-ministry pages, list Uruguay among the nationalities with free 90-day entry on arrival. That means many Uruguayan tourists don’t need a paid visa at all. If your situation is different, you can apply for a Dubai visa online, and this page shows who that actually helps.
Searches for a Dubai visa from Uruguay come from different people. Some are Uruguayan citizens checking what they need. Some are foreigners living in Uruguay under a residency permit. Others want something the free route doesn’t give them, such as a multiple-entry structure. We cover each in turn.
One note on who we are: Dubai E Visa Online is a private travel agency, not affiliated with GDRFA, ICP or any UAE embassy. UAE immigration makes every approval decision. We checked the rules below against published sources in October 2026, but entry rules change. Confirm the essentials with the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (icp.gov.ae) or your airline before booking.
Most of the confusion clears up with three questions.
1. Which passport will you travel on? A Uruguayan passport is reported to qualify for free arrival entry. Your residency or nationality of birth doesn’t change that.
2. How long are you staying? The reported allowance is 90 days. A trip of a week, a month or two months fits inside it.
3. One entry or several? Reports describe the arrival allowance as multiple-entry within a six-month window, but the exact counting rules deserve a check. If you’ve spent long periods in the UAE recently, confirm how that affects a new trip.
If your answers are “Uruguayan passport, under 90 days, one trip,” the free route is probably enough. A pre-arranged visa becomes relevant when an answer changes. Examples are a different passport, a longer stay, or a wish for approval before you buy flights.
Dubai is a passport trip. Uruguayans use the national ID card (cédula) for some regional travel, but airlines and UAE immigration expect a passport for the UAE. Travel-information sites commonly cite six months’ passport validity. We can’t confirm that as an official rule, so ask your airline what it checks at check-in.
Our own application checklist asks for six months’ validity and four blank pages. That is a service checklist, not UAE law. If you’ve read about recent tourist-rule changes, check current Dubai tourist visa rules and verify the key points with ICP.
The free route suits most holidays, but a pre-arranged visa has its place:
People searching Uruguayan passport Dubai visa or Uruguayan passport holders Dubai visa are often just checking whether arrival entry covers them. If Uruguay is your only passport and you’re visiting for leisure, start with the free route. Our cards are optional.
Living in Uruguay doesn’t make you a Uruguayan citizen. A foreign resident with a residency permit still travels on their own passport. That passport decides which UAE rules apply, not their Uruguayan status.
The phrases people search for describe different travellers:
Published UAE arrival concessions for residence-permit holders name permits from other jurisdictions. Uruguay wasn’t among them in the sources we checked. Don’t assume a Uruguayan residency card gives you arrival entry. Check with ICP or your airline. If your passport isn’t eligible, a pre-arranged visa is the route.
Dual citizens should travel on the passport they applied with and use it at the border too.
A pre-arranged application is built around the passport you travel on. You’ll need a clear copy of its photo page, a recent colour photo and the travel details the form asks for. Our live checklist doesn’t list a Uruguayan residency card as a required upload. Confirm on the application form whether any local status document is requested.
These are the products on our live Uruguay page. Two terms matter. “Stay” is how long you can remain after entering. “Validity” is the window in which the visa can be used. They are different numbers. For more background, see Dubai visa types.
| Product | Entry | Stay | Validity | Extendable (per card) | Processing estimate |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 7 Day Short | Single | 7 days | 60 days | Yes | 1–2 days |
| 14 Day Business | Single | 14 days | 58 days | Up to 30 days | 1–2 days |
| 30 Day Single | Single | 30 days | 60 days | Up to 30 days | 3–4 days |
| 30 Day Multiple | Multiple | 30 days | 60 days | Up to 30 days | 3–4 days |
| 60 Day Single | Single | 60 days | 60 days | Up to 2 weeks | 3–4 days |
| 60 Day Multiple | Multiple | 60 days | 60 days | Not extendable | 3–4 days |
| 90 Day Leisure | Single | 90 days | 60 days | Not extendable | 1–2 days |
| 48 Hour Transit | Single | 48 hours | 30 days | Not extendable | 1–2 days |
| 96 Hour Transit | Single | 96 hours | 30 days | Not extendable | 4–5 days |
“Extendable” is conditional. It doesn’t mean an extension will always be granted.
Names overlap, and the label matters less than the purpose. A Dubai tourist visa from Uruguay and a Dubai visit visa for Uruguayan citizens both describe short-stay entry for leisure or family visits. Our cards separate “leisure” from “business.”
If you’re staying with relatives or friends in the UAE, our checklist mentions sharing their Emirates ID as accommodation details. A business entry isn’t permission to be employed. Employment needs separate work authorisation.
Both 30-day cards show a 60-day validity window and an extension of up to 30 days where available. The single-entry card suits one holiday. The multiple-entry card suits several trips within the window. For a Uruguayan citizen on one trip inside the free allowance, these cards mainly add pre-approval.
The 60-day single-entry card allows a 60-day stay with an extension of up to two weeks. The multiple-entry version has the same stay and can’t be extended. The 90 Day Leisure card allows 90 days on one entry, which matches the free allowance reported for Uruguayan citizens. These longer cards matter most to residents whose passports don’t get arrival entry, and to anyone who wants the visa approved before flying.
This list comes from our live application checklist. These are service requirements, not a government rulebook.
Each traveller needs their own set. Enter your names exactly as printed in your passport, including both surnames in the same order, since a mismatch is an easy way to trigger a problem.
The table shows USD, AED and Uruguayan pesos (UYU). The USD figures are the live card prices and are unchanged. AED uses the fixed dirham peg of 3.6725 per US dollar. UYU uses roughly 40 pesos per US dollar, based on August 2026 data. The peso rate moves, so treat the UYU column as a rough guide.
| Visa Type | Price (USD) | Price (AED) | Price (UYU) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7 Day Short | $125 | AED 459 | UYU 5,000 |
| 14 Day Business | $138 | AED 507 | UYU 5,520 |
| 30 Day Single | $154 | AED 566 | UYU 6,160 |
| 30 Day Multiple | $450 | AED 1,653 | UYU 18,000 |
| 60 Day Single | $421 | AED 1,546 | UYU 16,840 |
| 60 Day Multiple | $700 | AED 2,571 | UYU 28,000 |
| 90 Day Leisure | $850 | AED 3,122 | UYU 34,000 |
| 48 Hour Transit | $121 | AED 444 | UYU 4,840 |
| 96 Hour Transit | $137 | AED 503 | UYU 5,480 |
The prices shown above are approximate and may vary depending on the visa type, nationality, processing time, and other applicable factors. The final fee will be confirmed at the time of application.
Card prices read “starting from.” Our site states that each price includes UAE government charges plus our sponsorship service fee. The cards don’t itemise the two, so treat each figure as one service price, not an official government fee. To see what moves the numbers, read about Dubai visa fees.
A search for Dubai visa cost from Uruguay wants one number, but the right figure depends on the card and your passport. Anyone weighing the Dubai visa price for Uruguayan citizens against free arrival entry should be clear about what the money buys. If you qualify for the free route and your trip fits inside it, a paid card buys pre-approval or flexibility, not access.
The live cards show these estimates:
These are estimates, not promises. Clear scans and complete documents help. Wrong details can slow or stop an application. If your passport is due for renewal, wait for the new one before applying, because the passport number on the application should match the one you’ll travel with.
The whole process runs online, so it doesn’t matter whether you’re in Montevideo or a smaller town. If time is tight, look at our express Dubai visa page for the faster options and what each involves. Speed depends on the product, your documents and UAE processing, and it isn’t guaranteed. If you qualify for free arrival entry, express processing probably isn’t relevant to your trip.
The steps are the same from Salto or Punta del Este. Our guide to applying in three easy steps covers the same flow.
Searches for Dubai visa application online Uruguay all lead to one process. A Dubai visa application from Uruguay has no separate version by department or city.
We offer 48-hour and 96-hour transit cards at $121 and $137. Whether you need one depends on your itinerary, airline, time in Dubai and whether you leave the airport. A Uruguayan citizen who qualifies for arrival entry has another way out of the terminal, so a transit card isn’t the only option for a long layover. Read about Dubai transit visa laws, then confirm the details with your airline.
After applying, you can check your Dubai visa status online. Keep your confirmation details handy.
Small errors matter. A misspelt name, a wrong date of birth or a mistyped passport number can lead to rejection. If you spot a mistake, contact support quickly. Whether a correction is possible depends on how far the application has moved.
We can’t promise approval, and rejections can’t always be prevented. Reasons vary, including missing details and unclear documents. Our guide to common reasons for Dubai visa rejection covers the usual causes. If a rejection happens, ask support for the reason and your options.
Extensions follow the same cautious rule. The cards show how much extension is possible, but approval isn’t automatic. Apply before your permitted stay ends, and check current overstay rules at ICP, since older articles often quote outdated figures.
A few practical points apply whether you’re in Montevideo, Punta del Este, Colonia or a smaller town:
If you’re a Uruguayan citizen on a standard holiday, the free arrival route may be all you need. If you hold another passport, want a multiple-entry structure, or want approval before you fly, you can explore Dubai visa options and start your application.
