14 Day Business Visa
E-visa • Single Entry
If you hold a Panamanian passport, you cannot simply fly to Dubai and expect to be admitted on arrival. The UAE asks travellers from Panama to arrange a visa before departure. The easiest way to start is to apply for a Dubai visa online before you book anything non-refundable. This page explains who can apply, which documents to prepare, what the tourist visa options are, and how fees and processing work. It also covers what to check if you live in Panama City, Colón, David or anywhere else in the country.
We are a private visa service. We are not the UAE government and this is not an official government portal. We help you prepare and submit your application correctly. The UAE immigration authority makes every final decision, and no service can promise approval or a fixed timeline.
The UAE Embassy in Panama City states that Panamanian citizens travelling to the UAE for holidays or business need a visa. It also states that the passport should be valid for at least six months. Panama is not treated as a visa-free or visa-on-arrival nationality for the UAE, so planning ahead matters.
Three situations are easy to confuse:
The rule that applies to you depends on your passport nationality, your current residence and your travel circumstances. We do not assume that someone who lives in Panama travels on a Panamanian passport, or the other way round. You will often see people search for Panamanian passport holders Dubai visa information. The honest answer is the same every time: check the rule for the passport in your hand, then apply before you travel.
Your Panamanian passport is also your main document for the whole process. If it is close to expiry, renew it before applying. A visa application on a passport that does not meet the validity rule is a common reason for delays.
The core requirements are simple, but small errors cause most problems. Before you apply, check these points:
Panamanian names often include two given names and two surnames. Enter your name in the same order and spelling as the passport's data page. This is especially important if a bank card, ticket or hotel booking uses a shorter version of your name.
The UAE authorities can ask for more information or documents after submission. This is normal for all nationalities. Respond quickly and keep your answers consistent with your original application.
The exact list can vary by visa product, so always follow the checklist shown during your application. Most tourist applicants prepare the following:
| Item | What to prepare |
|---|---|
| Passport scan | A clear colour scan of the data page of your Panamanian passport |
| Photograph | A recent, passport-style photo with a plain background |
| Travel details | Your planned travel dates, as requested in the form |
| Contact details | A working email address and phone number |
| Extra documents | Any additional papers the authorities request after review |
Use these tips to avoid rejections for simple reasons:
If a document is in Spanish and the form asks for English, ask us before you submit. Do not guess. We would rather correct it before the application starts than after a delay.
The process is straightforward when you prepare first. A Dubai visa application for Panamanian citizens usually has three stages: preparation, submission and review. The UAE Embassy in Panama City advises that ordinary passport holders from Panama request a visa through a travel agency, an airline or the hotel where they will stay. An online visa service like ours is a way to make that request without visiting an office.
Applicants from Panama City tend to have the most options for in-person help. Applicants in Colón, David and smaller towns can still complete everything online. You do not need to travel to the capital to submit your documents through our service.
Follow these steps:
The time difference helps to know in advance. The UAE is nine hours ahead of Panama, and neither country uses daylight saving time. A message sent to a UAE office in the afternoon in Panama may not be read until the next morning in the UAE. Submit early in your day and leave room for replies.
Applying online means no embassy queue, no courier for your passport and no travel to the capital. You complete the steps from a phone or computer. Many people search for a Dubai visa application online Panama option because they live far from Panama City. This is the situation our online process is built for.
Online applications still need careful preparation. Use a stable internet connection and keep your documents ready before you begin. If you have a question, contact support before you submit rather than after.
Most Panamanian travellers need a tourist or visit visa. This lets you visit the UAE for leisure, family visits and short holidays. It does not allow you to work. We list only the tourist options available on our application page, and we do not promise any category outside them.
The two most common choices are 30-day and 60-day stays. Some visa products may be single-entry or multiple-entry. Availability can vary by nationality and by the product offered when you apply, so always confirm the options shown for Panama.
Keep these differences in mind when choosing between them:
A 30-day tourist visa suits holidays of about one to four weeks. It is a practical choice for short city breaks, family visits and trips tied to events. Panamanian travellers who are connecting through other countries may prefer this option for a shorter and simpler trip.
Choose this option if your plans are already fixed. It is usually the less expensive of the two, though prices can change with demand and visa type.
A 60-day visa gives more time for longer family visits, extended holidays or trips that combine several plans. It suits travellers who want flexibility and do not want to rush.
Do not choose the 60-day option just in case if you will only stay two weeks. Pick the length that matches your plan.
Validity and permitted stay. The visa's validity and the permitted stay are not the same thing. Validity is the window in which you must enter the UAE. The stay is how long you may remain after entering. Check both on your approved visa, and do not stay beyond the permitted period. Overstaying carries a fine of AED 50 per day from the first day of overstay. If your plans change, do not wait until the last day to deal with it. Extension rules and charges are set by the UAE authorities and can change, so confirm current details before applying.
The total cost depends on visa type, nationality and application requirements. We show prices in AED on the application page, so you can see the amount before paying. Think of the total as two parts:
| Cost element | What it covers | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Government charges | Fees set by the UAE authorities for issuing the visa | Not set by us and can change |
| Service charges | The cost of preparing, checking and submitting your application | Shown before you pay |
| Optional extras | Faster handling where offered | Only if you choose it |
We do not quote a fixed government fee on this page, because it can change. We also never present our service charge as an official government fee. The final amount is shown clearly at checkout.
The total cost for a Panamanian traveller is the visa type plus any option you add. A 60-day visa generally costs more than a 30-day one. Express handling, where available, adds to the total.
If you are comparing quotes, check what each one includes. A low headline price can leave out service charges. A simple way to compare is to ask for the final amount in AED for the same visa type and the same number of travellers.
Many Panamanians think in US dollars, since Panama uses the dollar for everyday payments. Your card issuer may convert the AED amount at its own rate, so the amount on your statement can differ slightly. The Dubai visa price for Panamanian citizens is therefore best checked at the final payment step, in AED, just before you pay.
Refunds depend on the stage of your application and the reason, so read the terms before you pay. If the authorities refuse a visa, government charges are generally not recoverable. Ask us about the specific case before you apply if this is a concern.
No one can honestly promise a fixed processing time. Processing depends on the authorities, the quality of your documents and how busy the period is. We do not guarantee any timeline or any outcome.
What you can control is the quality of your application. Most delays come from the same few issues:
A sensible plan is to apply as soon as your dates are fixed and before you book flights that cannot be changed. Build in extra days for weekends, public holidays and any follow-up request. If you have an event or deadline, leave a buffer. If you are applying close to your travel date, read the express section below.
Because of the nine-hour time difference, a document request can arrive while it is night in Panama. Turn on email notifications so you can answer as soon as you wake up.
For background on timing and common delays, see our guide on how long Dubai visa processing takes.
Sometimes a trip comes together quickly. A family event, a business meeting or a change of plan can leave you with very little time. For these cases, our Dubai express visa option offers faster handling where it is available.
Express does not remove the need for correct documents. It also does not guarantee approval or a specific hour of delivery. Think of it as a priority option for a clean application, not a way around the rules.
Express handling makes sense when:
It makes less sense if your passport has less than six months of validity or if your details are unclear. Fix those first, then ask about express. Read the current terms on the express page before you pay.
After you submit, you can follow progress through our Dubai visa status page. Keep your application reference and passport number ready.
When you check, you will usually see a clear stage, such as submitted, under review, approved or needing more information. If the page asks for more information, act on it quickly. A fast, accurate reply keeps the application moving.
Here is how to read the common situations:
Always check the approved visa before you book airport transport or hotel stays. If a name or passport number is wrong, tell us straight away so it can be handled before you travel.
Panama is home to many foreign residents, including retirees, remote workers, business owners and people working for international companies. Their situation is different from that of a Panamanian citizen.
Visa rules for the UAE are tied mainly to the passport you travel on. Living in Panama does not automatically give you the same treatment as a Panamanian passport holder. Some nationalities have their own entry rules, and a few UAE schemes link entry to residence permits from specific countries. Do not assume a Panamanian residence permit changes your category.
For Dubai visa requirements for Panama residents, start with these questions:
Answer those first, then choose the matching route. If you are unsure, contact us before paying. A short check can save you an avoidable refusal.
Expats often travel on US, Canadian, European or Latin American passports and live in Panama City, Boquete or the Pacific coast. For them, the key point is nationality, not residence. Some of these passports may not need an advance visa for a short UAE visit, while others do.
If you are an expat, bring your own passport details to the check. We would rather confirm your category for you than let you rely on a friend's experience. A friend with a different passport may have had a very different process.
Keep your Panamanian residence documents in your travel folder in case an airline or border officer asks about your home country. They may not change your visa category, but they help show your travel pattern.
Foreign residents include people on long-stay permits, pensioner visas and work permits. Check that your Panamanian residence permit will be valid when you return to Panama. A permit that expires while you are in the UAE can create problems at your return.
Also check your passport validity. The UAE six-month guidance is for the passport itself, and many airlines apply it when checking in. If your passport is close to expiry, renew it first. Where possible, travel on the same passport you used in your application.
Families should note that every traveller needs their own passport and application. This includes children. Prepare the documents for each person before starting.
Planning the visa and the journey together saves money. The order of steps matters more than the order of bookings.
1. Fix your dates first. Decide your travel window, then choose the visa length that covers it with a small margin.
2. Apply before you book fixed fares. Flight options and connections between Panama and the UAE change by season and airline, so confirm routes with your carrier. If you must book early, choose a flexible fare. Airlines may check that you hold the right visa before boarding, so a missing visa can stop your trip at the check-in desk.
3. Prepare your passport. Check validity, free pages and condition. If you plan to renew in Panama City, allow time for it before you apply.
4. Keep copies. Carry a printed copy of your visa and keep a digital copy on your phone.
5. Plan your return. Know your permitted stay and your return date. Staying beyond it brings daily fines.
Travellers in Panama City have the most flight and service options, but many people travel from other parts of the country. Colón and David residents often reach the capital first, so it helps to check domestic connection times.
This page covers the visa side only. For flights, hotels and local travel, use your airline and booking partners.
For more help with timing your trip, read our guide on when to apply before you travel.
Most refusals and delays come from avoidable errors. Check this list before you submit:
We cannot remove all risk, but we can help you avoid these. See our guide on common Dubai visa rejection reasons for more detail, and our document photo guide for scan and photo tips.
These examples show how the points above work in real life.
A family visit from Panama City. A traveller plans to visit relatives for three weeks. She chooses the 30-day option, applies online from home and checks her status through the status page. She books her flight once the visa is approved.
A last-minute trip from David. A traveller needs to travel in a few days. His passport is valid and his documents are ready. He asks about express handling and submits clean scans. He understands that the outcome is not guaranteed.
An expat in Boquete. A foreign resident holds a European passport. She first checks the rule for her own nationality instead of the rule for Panamanians. That prevents her from paying for a visa she may not need.
A couple planning a longer stay. Two Panamanian passport holders want to stay seven weeks. They choose the 60-day visa, apply separately with their own passport details and plan their return well inside the permitted stay.
A traveller from Colón with an old passport. His passport expires in four months. He renews it before applying, so the visa matches the new passport.
In each case, preparation made the difference. A calm, well-prepared application is the best way to avoid stress.
