14 Day Business Visa
E-visa • Single Entry
Palau is a long way from the UAE. There are no direct flights, and there is no UAE embassy or consulate on the islands, so early planning matters. If you want to apply for a Dubai visa online, you can do it from Koror, Airai, Ngerulmud or anywhere else with an internet connection. A Dubai visa from Palau is handled online, and your approval should be in place before you board the first flight of your journey.
This page is written for Palauan travelers and for people who live in Palau. It explains who needs a visa, which options are available, what the application asks for, how US dollar pricing works, and how to follow your application across a five-hour time difference.
Dubai E Visa Online is an independent visa service and is not a UAE government body. Applications are submitted through a UAE-based sponsor, and UAE immigration makes the final decision on every application.
Eligibility starts with the passport you hold, not the island you live on. Palauan passports are generally listed as requiring a pre-arranged e-visa for the UAE. They are not normally treated as visa-free or visa on arrival. The visa should be approved before you leave, and airlines can check for it at your departure airport and again at any connecting airport.
Three situations come up often in Palau:
Rules can change, so confirm your status with your airline before you pay for flights.
Living in Palau does not make someone a Palauan citizen, and the application treats the two differently. People searching for a Dubai visa for Palauan residents are usually either Palauan citizens at home or long-term residents of another nationality. Their questions are not the same.
Palau is home to foreign workers, professionals and long-term residents from many countries. A Dubai visa for foreign residents in Palau depends on the passport each person carries. Your Palau residence status does not change which nationality rule applies to you.
If you live in Palau with another passport, check your own nationality first. Some nationalities can enter the UAE without a visa or receive one on arrival. Others need a pre-arranged visa. Only the last group needs a paid application, and you should not pay for a visa you do not need.
Dubai visa requirements for Palau residents therefore depend on nationality rather than address. When you apply, select your passport nationality as your citizenship and Palau as the country where you live. Do not select Palau as your citizenship unless you hold a Palauan passport. A mismatch between the nationality you choose and the passport you upload can cause delays.
A pre-approved e-visa is the main entry requirement for most Palauan travelers. Keep a printed copy or a saved copy on your phone with your passport. Airlines and UAE immigration officers may ask to see it.
Your passport matters as well. The application asks for at least six months of remaining validity and four blank pages. That is a requirement of this application service. Airlines and immigration officers may apply their own checks, so renew an expiring passport before you apply.
The UAE visa covers only part of the trip. Palau has a limited number of international connections, and journeys usually pass through a regional hub such as Guam, Manila, Taipei or Tokyo before heading on toward the Gulf. Your UAE approval does not cover those stops. Check whether your Palauan passport needs a transit visa or other permission in each connecting country, especially if you change airports or leave the airport during a long layover.
Visitor rules are updated from time to time. Confirm the latest details with your airline before booking.
Most Palauan visitors apply for a tourist or leisure visa. The current options shown for Palau include 30-day and 60-day single-entry visas, 30-day and 60-day multiple-entry visas, a 90-day leisure visa and a 7-day short visa. Each has its own stay period, entry window and processing estimate. If you want a general overview of how the categories differ, check Dubai visa types before you decide.
Because flights from Palau are limited and journeys need planning, think about three questions:
A single-entry visa suits most holidays. You enter the UAE once and stay for the permitted period. It is also the lower-priced choice. For example, the 30 Day Single visa starts at $154, while the 30 Day Multiple visa starts at $450.
A multiple-entry visa lets you leave and re-enter during its validity. It suits travelers who plan side trips from Dubai to nearby countries and want to return. If Dubai is one stop in a longer itinerary, compare the multiple-entry options. In both cases, the stay period counts from the day you enter the UAE, not from the day your visa is approved.
Not every trip is a holiday, and the visa should match your purpose of travel.
Two sets of requirements apply to your application. UAE immigration sets the entry rules and makes the decision. The application on this site asks for specific documents so your sponsor can prepare and submit it. Do not treat the service checklist as an official government list. Immigration may ask for more in individual cases.
Prepare the following before you start:
Palau adds a few practical points. If you are scanning documents at home, check that the passport page is fully visible, with no shadows, fingers or cut-off edges. Seats out of Palau can be limited, so many travelers want to lock in flights early. If you book before approval, check the airline’s change and refund terms first. Keep your travel dates inside the visa’s entry window.
The process is the same whether you live in Koror, Airai or another state. Here is the process behind a Dubai visa application online Palau applicants can complete in one sitting:
For a short overview of the basic process, see the guide to getting a Dubai visa in three easy steps.
The UAE has no embassy or consulate in Palau, and a tourist application does not require you to visit one. Everything happens online. This is a real advantage for people living on islands far from a diplomatic mission. You need a device, an internet connection and clear scans of your documents.
Palau uses the US dollar, so the USD prices on this site are the amounts you pay in Palau with no currency conversion on your side. The UAE dirham is pegged to the dollar at about 3.67 AED per USD, so the AED column is a simple conversion. To see how fee factors work, understand Dubai visa fees in more detail.
Knowing the Dubai visa fees for Palauan citizens before you start helps you budget. The Dubai visa cost from Palau is charged per person, so a family from Koror multiplies the price by the number of travelers. When you compare the Dubai visa price for Palauan citizens across products, look at stay length, entry type and processing estimate, not the price alone. Prices on this site include the UAE government charge and the service fee.
| Visa Type | Price (USD) | Price (AED) | Price in Palau Currency (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 14 Day Business Visa | $138 | AED 507 | $138 |
| 90 Day Leisure visa | $850 | AED 3,122 | $850 |
| 48 Hour Transit | $121 | AED 444 | $121 |
| 96 Hour Transit | $137 | AED 503 | $137 |
| 2 Yr Freelancer Visa | $3,500 | AED 12,854 | $3,500 |
| 60 Day Multiple | $700 | AED 2,571 | $700 |
| 30 Day Multiple | $450 | AED 1,653 | $450 |
| 30 Day Single | $154 | AED 566 | $154 |
| 60 Day Single | $421 | AED 1,546 | $421 |
| 7 Day Short | $125 | AED 459 | $125 |
| 30 Day Inside A2A Visa Extension | $550 | AED 2,020 | $550 |
| 60 Day Inside A2A Visa Extension | $650 | AED 2,387 | $650 |
| 90 Day Visa Extension | $750 | AED 2,754 | $750 |
The prices shown above are approximate and may vary depending on the visa type, nationality, processing time, exchange rates, and other applicable factors. The final fee will be confirmed at the time of application.
All prices are “starting from” amounts per person. The Palau currency column matches the USD column because Palau uses the US dollar. The three extension products apply to visitors who are already in the UAE and are not part of an initial application from Palau.
Processing estimates depend on the product you choose. These are estimates, not guarantees, and UAE immigration decides each application:
Weekends, public holidays and incomplete documents can add time. Palau is five hours ahead of the UAE, so an application submitted in the evening in Koror lands in the middle of the UAE working day. Submit early in your travel planning rather than the night before a deadline.
Validity and stay are different things, and mixing them up can cause problems:
On the current Palau product list:
| Product | Stay | Entry window |
|---|---|---|
| 30 Day Single | 30 days | 60 days |
| 60 Day Single | 60 days | 60 days |
| 7 Day Short | 7 days | 60 days |
| 14 Day Business Visa | 14 days | 58 days |
| 48 Hour and 96 Hour Transit | 48 or 96 hours | 30 days |
| 90 Day Leisure visa | 90 days | 60 days |
Several visas can be extended, subject to approval. The 30-day single and multiple visas and the 14-day business visa are listed as extendable by up to 30 days. The 60 Day Single is extendable by up to two weeks. The 90 Day Leisure visa is listed as not extendable. Extension is never automatic. To understand the process, learn about Dubai visa extension procedures.
Overstaying can lead to fines and other problems, and the rules change. Always confirm the current position before relying on any grace period. For a journey from Palau that spans several flights, count your arrival date carefully and keep your travel dates inside the entry window.
Palau’s only international airport, Roman Tmetuchl International Airport, is on Babeldaob island in Airai State. Scheduled services link it to regional hubs, and travelers usually reach the Gulf by connecting through cities such as Guam, Manila, Taipei or Tokyo. No direct Palau–Dubai service is listed, and schedules change, so check current options before fixing your dates.
Build the plan around your visa:
The time difference also affects your communication. Palau is five hours ahead of the UAE. When it is 3 pm in Koror, it is 10 am in Dubai. Your evening is the middle of the UAE working day, so a message sent late at night may be answered the next morning your time.
The application is the same wherever you live in Palau. Your location changes logistics, not eligibility or price.
Koror is Palau’s main commercial center, and many residents and businesses are based there. A Dubai visit visa from Koror follows the same online process as any other. Upload clear scans and a correct photograph on the first attempt to avoid resubmitting.
Ngerulmud, in Melekeok State on Babeldaob, is the national capital. A Dubai tourist visa from Ngerulmud is applied for in the same way as anywhere else in Palau. If your trip is for meetings or a conference, compare the business option instead of a leisure visa so your visa matches your purpose of travel.
Airai State is where the international airport is located, so travelers from there are close to their departure point. Residents of Palau’s more distant states should allow extra time to reach the airport when setting travel dates.
Trips sometimes come up at short notice, such as a business meeting, a family event or a missed connection that forces new dates. If your departure date is close, you can explore the Dubai express visa service for faster handling.
Express availability depends on the visa product, and the application is still subject to the same UAE immigration decision. Timing is an estimate and cannot be guaranteed. Given how few flights leave Palau, it is safer to apply early than to rely on a rush.
After you submit, you can check your Dubai visa status online at any hour using your application details. Because of the five-hour time difference, a status check is often quicker than waiting for a reply during Palau’s evening. For a step-by-step walkthrough, read how to check Dubai visa status online.
Keep your approval and passport details together. If any detail on the approval does not match your passport, contact support before you travel.
Rejection cannot always be prevented, and the decision belongs to UAE immigration. Many delays, however, come from avoidable mistakes:
If a problem arises, learn about common visa rejection reasons and correct the issue before reapplying.
Start with your passport. Check that it has enough validity and blank pages, then pick the visa that fits your trip and prepare your photograph and documents. Review the fees in US dollars, start your Dubai visa application, and check your status after submission. Plan your connecting flights with care, since the journey from Palau needs more thought than most.
