Dubai Visa Validity and Permitted Stay
These three terms are often confused:
- Entry validity is the window in which you must enter the UAE after the visa is issued. For tourist visas this is commonly 60 days from issue.
- Permitted stay is how long you may remain once you arrive, such as 30 or 60 days.
- Number of entries says whether you may enter once or several times within the validity.
A 30-day visa does not mean you must travel within 30 days of approval, and a 60-day entry window does not mean you can stay for 60 days unless your visa says so. Always compare the stay length printed on your approved visa with your flight dates. If you overstay, fines apply. Plan your return date carefully.
Dubai Visa from Antananarivo: Flights and Trip Planning
Antananarivo is Madagascar's capital and its main international gateway through Ivato International Airport (TNR), so most travelers from other regions of Madagascar plan their international journey through the capital. If you live in or near Antananarivo, the practical points are:
- No nonstop flight. Flight-search listings as of September 2026 show no nonstop service from Antananarivo to Dubai. Typical itineraries connect through another airport, for example Mahé in Seychelles with Emirates, Addis Ababa with Ethiopian Airlines, or Nairobi with Kenya Airways. Schedules change, so confirm routes with your airline.
- Connection rules. The country where you change planes may have its own entry or transit rules for Malagasy passport holders. Check them, especially if you will leave the airport or have a long layover.
- Time difference. Dubai is one hour ahead of Madagascar, which helps when planning your arrival and any hotel transfers.
- Allow time for the visa. Because journeys from Madagascar involve a connection, avoid buying non-refundable tickets until your visa is approved.
