14 Day Business Visa

There is no nonstop flight from Jamaica to Dubai. Whichever airport you leave from, you will connect somewhere, and that single fact shapes how you should handle the paperwork. This guide is written for that journey. If you hold a Jamaican passport, the Dubai visa for Jamaica citizens is normally arranged before you book anything, and you can apply for a Dubai visa online without leaving home.
Dubai E Visa Online is a private online visa service. It is not a UAE government website, and approval always rests with UAE immigration.
For an ordinary Jamaican passport, a visa should be arranged in advance.
Jamaica and the UAE signed a visa-waiver agreement in 2019. It covers diplomatic and official passports. When the agreement was announced, Jamaica's foreign ministry said ordinary passport holders could apply for a visa online. Summaries of the UAE's visa policy list the agreement as signed but not yet applied.
Entry rules do change. Before you fly, confirm your position with your airline or the UAE's official immigration channels. If you hold a diplomatic or official passport, you are in a different category and this page does not apply to you.
Kingston has universities and embassies, Montego Bay has hotels, call centres and a busy business community, and expat families live across the island. The Jamaican passport rule is not yours.
A UAE entry permit follows passport nationality. Living in Jamaica does not give you the same position as a Jamaican citizen, and it does not remove the need for a visa if your own passport requires one. Select your nationality and your country of residence on the application form, and our team will match the requirements to your passport. If your passport is from a country the UAE already exempts, you may not need a visa at all.
Route-tracking sites currently show no direct flights between Montego Bay and Dubai. They list one-stop options through cities such as Toronto, New York, London and Frankfurt, with total travel times of about 15 to 19 hours or more. From Kingston, they list connections through London or Toronto, with the shortest journey about 19 hours. Schedules shift by season, so check your airline.
This matters for your visa in four ways.
Your connection may need its own paperwork. The UAE visa covers entry to the UAE only. Jamaican passport holders are visa nationals for several common connecting countries. Lists of visa requirements for Jamaicans show Canada and Germany among them, and UK airside transit has involved a transit visa with temporary exemptions in recent years. Transit rules are narrow and change often. Check every connection on your itinerary before you book it, not after.
Your visa window needs a buffer. Our 30-day and 60-day visit visas must be used within 60 days of issue. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June to November, and weather can disrupt long itineraries. If you apply close to a travel window, leave room for a delayed departure.
The time difference is large. Jamaica is five hours behind UTC all year. The UAE is four hours ahead, so it is nine hours ahead of Jamaica. A document you send at 4 p.m. in Kingston arrives at 1 a.m. in Dubai, and you may wait until the next morning for a reply. Submit early in your day.
Your name must match. The name on the visa, the passport and the airline booking should be identical. With a long routing and multiple tickets, a mismatch is easy to miss.
Rather than listing every option in the abstract, here are the situations Jamaican travelers commonly face. The prices are "starting from" figures per person and can change.
The 7-day short visit visa ($125) fits a tight trip. The 30-day single-entry tourist visa ($154) gives you more room if the trip may grow, and it is the most common choice for a first visit.
A 30-day single-entry visa suits most family visits. Your host's details, and often their Emirates ID, may be requested, so mention that you are staying with family when you apply.
The 60-day single-entry visa (from $421) fits a stay of up to two months. It makes sense when the journey itself is long and you want the trip to be worth it. A 60-day multiple-entry visa (from $700) allows you to leave and re-enter during the stay.
The 14-day business visit option (from $138) is for meetings, conferences and negotiations. It is not a work permit. Employment or running a business in the UAE needs separate authorization. Our tourist visa guidelines explain what a visit visa does and does not allow.
If your itinerary has a long layover in Dubai, a 48-hour transit visa ($121) or a 96-hour transit visa ($137) may be the right category. Whether you qualify depends on your onward ticket and timings. For the wider picture, see our guide to Dubai visa types.
A 30-day multiple-entry visa starts from $450. It suits travelers who plan to leave the UAE and return, for example for a side trip to another country in the region.
These three terms trip people up, and the long Jamaican journey makes the difference matter.
An example. You receive a 30-day single-entry visa on 1 July. You must enter by 30 August. If you land on 20 August, your 30-day stay runs from 20 August, not from the date of issue. If a storm delays your first flight, you have a margin before the validity window closes.
The UAE generally expects a passport valid for at least six months from arrival, and our application pages also ask for at least four blank pages. Jamaica's Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) began issuing electronic passports in 2023. If your passport is close to expiry, renew it before you apply, not after.
Requirements can vary with visa type, nationality and your circumstances. If anything is unclear, our team will tell you what is needed before you pay.
A cropped or blurred passport scan, a shadowed photo background, and a name spelled differently on the booking are the most common avoidable problems.
If your departure date is close, an express Dubai visa option is available. Given the length of the Jamaican journey, apply early and avoid non-refundable flights until the visa is approved.
The fee depends on visa type, entry type, duration and any express service. The "starting from" figures above are a guide, and the final price is shown before you pay. It includes UAE government charges plus our service fee.
Standard tourist visas on our Jamaica page list about three to four days of processing. The 7-day and business visas list one to two days, and the 96-hour transit lists four to five days. These are estimates and not promises. Processing can depend on document quality, volume and review by UAE immigration, and we cannot guarantee approval or a fixed timeline.
A delay is not a rejection. Check the visa status page with your application ID, confirm your documents were clear, and contact support if the delay continues. Our guide to checking Dubai visa status online explains the steps.
If an application is rejected, find out why before you reapply. Our guides on common reasons for visa rejection and what to do after a rejection cover the usual causes. Reapplying with the same mistake tends to produce the same result.
If your dates slip, such as after a missed connection or a weather delay, remember the 60-day validity window. If you may stay longer than planned, ask about an extension before your permitted stay ends. Overstaying can lead to daily fines and difficulty at the airport.
You apply from home, with no embassy appointment. We review your application before submission, which helps catch common errors. The visa options are in one place, and you can track your application with its ID. Support is available by chat, email or phone.
We are a private online visa service and not a UAE government body. We cannot guarantee approval, processing times or entry. UAE immigration makes the final decision on every application.
