14 Day Business Visa
E-visa • Single Entry
Salvadoran passport holders appear on the UAE’s list of nationalities that can get a visa on arrival, so many short trips from El Salvador may not need a paid visa in advance. That shapes this whole page. Read the entry rules first, then decide whether your trip falls outside them. If it does, you can apply for a Dubai visa online with our service. A Dubai visa for Salvadoran citizens is not needed for every trip, but it matters for some travelers, and we explain which ones below.
This page is written for three groups:
Your passport decides your entry route. Your address does not.
Dubai E Visa Online is a private application service. It is not part of any government body, and UAE immigration authorities make every entry and visa decision. Nothing on this page guarantees approval, entry or timing.
Salvadoran passport holders Dubai visa searches usually start with one question: do I have to pay for a visa at all? For a short visit, the evidence we found points to no, because El Salvador is listed for visa on arrival. Your answer still depends on your passport, your plans and the rules in force on the day you travel.
| Your situation | What it means | Sensible next step |
|---|---|---|
| Salvadoran citizen on a short tourist or business visit | Listed for visa on arrival | Confirm entry conditions. A paid visa is probably unnecessary. |
| Salvadoran citizen planning a long stay | May exceed the on-arrival allowance | Confirm the allowed stay with UAE authorities before booking. |
| Salvadoran citizen traveling to work | A short-visit entry does not by itself allow work | Get official guidance on work permits. |
| Foreign passport holder living in El Salvador | Your own passport sets the rule | Check the rule for that nationality. |
| Dual national | You enter on one passport | Use the same passport for the ticket and entry. |
| Mixed-passport family | Each person has a separate rule | Check every traveler individually. |
Citizenship and residence are different things. A Salvadoran citizen who lives in San Salvador holds a Salvadoran passport. A Canadian or Spanish national who lives in Santa Ana does not become Salvadoran because of a residence permit. A Salvadoran citizen who lives abroad still travels on a Salvadoran passport. We use “Salvadoran citizens” and “El Salvador residents” for these groups, and we keep them apart throughout.
A paid pre-arranged visa makes sense for a limited set of cases. One is a companion who holds a different passport. Another is a trip that falls outside on-arrival entry, such as a long stay. We do not recommend paying for something the airport may already give you.
In March 2024, Gulf News reported on the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa-exemption list and named El Salvador among the nationalities eligible for visa on arrival. UAE embassy guidance adds two general points. A visa on arrival is available only to exempted nationalities. Passports should not expire within six months of the expected arrival date.
The length of stay is the part we could not confirm. UAE announcements describe a 30-day entry with a short grace period for most listed nationalities, and 90 days for selected ones. Some passport databases show 90 days for El Salvador. We found no official UAE page that confirms this. We therefore do not state a day count as fact. Confirm it before you book.
These are the points we could verify. Dubai visa requirements for Salvadoran citizens on a visa-on-arrival entry are therefore short: a valid passport and a plan to leave within the permitted stay. Rules change, so check them before you fly. Good sources are:
We found no official source that adds hotel, funds or insurance conditions for Salvadoran entry. We therefore do not list them as government requirements.
Many people live in El Salvador without being Salvadoran. For them, the question “Do I need a visa?” has nothing to do with Salvadoran rules. The answer depends on the passport in their hand.
A residence card proves you may live in El Salvador. It does not give you a Salvadoran citizen’s UAE entry route. If you hold a different passport, you may find that you are exempt, that you can get a visa on arrival, or that you need a visa in advance. That depends on your nationality, so check the rule for your own passport first.
For this group, Dubai visa requirements for El Salvador residents are really the requirements for each nationality. Residence papers may be useful supporting documents. They do not replace the nationality rule. The same logic covers a Dubai visa for Salvadoran residents, which is not one product. Salvadoran citizens follow the Salvadoran rule, and foreign nationals follow their own.
An expat in San Salvador or elsewhere in the country starts in the same place. Look up the UAE rule for your passport. If a visa is required, apply with that passport and enter your nationality exactly as printed in it.
Anyone searching for a Dubai visa for foreign residents in El Salvador will find that the passport decides, and the address does not. Two practical tips help:
If your trip falls outside on-arrival entry, you may need one of our products. Our Dubai visa types guide explains the categories in general. The live El Salvador page currently lists these:
| Product | Entry | Stay | Visa validity | Processing estimate | Extendable |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 14 Day Business | Single | 14 days | 58 days | 1–2 days | Up to 30 days |
| 7 Day Short | Single | 7 days | 60 days | 1–2 days | Yes |
| 30 Day Single | Single | 30 days | 60 days | 3–4 days | Up to 30 days |
| 30 Day Multiple | Multiple | 30 days | 60 days | 3–4 days | Up to 30 days |

Source: the live product cards. Processing times are estimates, not promises. The card also lists visa extensions and a two-year freelancer visa. These are separate categories with their own eligibility. A business visa does not by itself allow you to work in the UAE.
Validity, stay and entry type are three different things, and they are easy to confuse:
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Visa validity | The window in which you may use the visa to enter |
| Permitted stay | How long you may remain after entering |
| Entry type | Single or multiple entries during the validity |
| Processing time | How long a decision may take |
A visa that is valid for 60 days does not let you stay for 60 days unless the stay also says so. Read the stay on your approved visa.
A 30-day product only makes sense for someone who needs a pre-arranged visa and plans about a month. A Salvadoran traveler on a standard holiday may already have an on-arrival route, so compare that first. The paid 30-day cards are often more relevant to a non-Salvadoran relative or colleague traveling alongside.
The same logic applies to a 60-day product. If you plan to stay beyond what the on-arrival entry allows, ask the UAE authorities what is possible before you pay. The 90 Day Leisure card shows a 90-day stay with a 60-day validity and no extension. Read those details closely, because the stay and the validity are not the same thing.
Documents come from two places, and mixing them up causes trouble.
Government side. For a visa-on-arrival entry, the only general point we could verify is the six-month passport validity noted in UAE embassy guidance. We could not confirm a fuller list, so check with your airline or the authorities.
Our application form. If you use our service, the live page lists these items:
The last two items are service requirements. They are not UAE government rules. Scan the full photo page in one frame, with no fingers, glare or paper covering anything.
Many Salvadoran full names include two surnames and accents. Copy them exactly as the passport shows. If a form field does not fit your name, ask support before you submit. If you recently renewed your passport, use the new number everywhere. If you hold two passports, apply with the one you will fly on.
Once you know a visa is needed, the steps are short. Our Dubai visa in three easy steps guide gives the quick version. Here is the full path:
A Dubai visa application online El Salvador can be filled in from a phone or computer. You do not need to visit an office to submit it. UAE authorities may still ask for extra details in some cases.
Families in El Salvador often travel on different passports. A Salvadoran parent may hold a Salvadoran passport while a partner holds another. Each person needs their own check. Enter each traveler’s own passport details. Ask support how the form handles children before you submit, because we have not verified a separate child rule.
Applying together does not link the decisions. One application may be approved while another is delayed. Avoid non-refundable bookings until every visa is confirmed.
If you need a pre-arranged visa, the Dubai visa cost from El Salvador depends on the product, the duration, the entry type and the processing option. Our Dubai visa fees guide explains the factors. The live page states that its prices include UAE government charges and the service fee. It does not split the two, so we do not present a government figure.
The Dubai visa price for Salvadoran citizens below comes from the live product cards, which say “starting from” per person. El Salvador uses the US dollar as its official currency, so the USD column and the local-currency column are the same. The AED amounts are approximate conversions at 3.6725 AED per USD. Your card issuer’s rate and fees may differ.
| Visa type | Price (USD) | Price (AED) | Price (El Salvador currency: USD) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7 Day Short | $125 | AED 459 | $125 |
| 14 Day Business | $138 | AED 507 | $138 |
| 30 Day Single | $154 | AED 566 | $154 |
| 30 Day Multiple | $450 | AED 1,653 | $450 |
| 60 Day Single | $421 | AED 1,546 | $421 |
| 60 Day Multiple | $700 | AED 2,571 | $700 |
| 90 Day Leisure | $850 | AED 3,122 | $850 |
| 48 Hour Transit | $121 | AED 444 | $121 |
| 96 Hour Transit | $137 | AED 503 | $137 |
The prices shown above are approximate and may vary depending on the visa type, nationality, processing time, and other applicable factors. The final fee will be confirmed at the time of application.
Before you pay, check that the amount matches the product you chose, and check the currency. If a visa on arrival covers your trip, you do not need to pay for a pre-arranged visa.
Processing estimates on the live cards range from 1–2 days for the shortest products to 4–5 days for the 96-hour transit. The 30- and 60-day tourist cards show 3–4 days. These are estimates. Decisions can take longer if the authorities request more checks or if details do not match your passport.
Plan with a buffer. Do not book non-refundable flights until the visa is approved. If you use visa on arrival, none of this applies, because there is nothing to process before you travel.
If time is short, see our express Dubai visa page for current options and conditions. Faster handling does not mean guaranteed approval or a fixed hour, and it can cost more. A Salvadoran citizen with a standard short trip may not need it.
After you submit, use our Dubai visa status page to follow progress. Keep your application reference and passport number handy. If you applied for several travelers, track each person separately. If nothing changes after the estimated window, contact support with your reference.
No one can promise approval. A Dubai visit visa from El Salvador application can be delayed or refused. Careful preparation reduces common problems but cannot remove them:
Name format is a particular watch point, given two-surname names and accents. Our guide to common reasons for Dubai visa rejection goes into more detail. If an application is refused, find out what went wrong and fix it before you reapply. Ask support whether a new fee applies. A refusal for a non-Salvadoran relative does not change a Salvadoran citizen’s own entry route. They are separate rules for separate passports.
Extensions are conditional. Whether you can extend depends on the entry you hold, the product, and the rules in force when you ask. Read our guide to the Dubai visa extension procedure before you plan around one. We did not verify how a visa-on-arrival stay can be extended, so ask the UAE authorities or your airline first.
Overstaying can lead to fines or other penalties, and the amounts change over time. Do not rely on a “grace period” you read online. Check the current rule before you travel and count your days carefully.
Some Salvadoran travelers only pass through Dubai on the way to another country. Whether a transit visa is needed depends on your nationality, itinerary, airline, airport, transit time and whether you leave the airport. Because Salvadoran citizens appear eligible for on-arrival entry, many may not need a separate transit product, but confirm with your airline. Our Dubai transit visa laws guide explains the general picture. We do not quote hour-based rules here.
If you travel on a non-Salvadoran passport, the transit answer may differ. Look it up for that passport.
