14 Day Business Visa
E-visa • Single Entry
If you travel on a Cayman Islands passport, or you live on Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac or Little Cayman, the first question is not how to apply. It is whether you need a visa at all. This page answers that first. It then shows how to apply for a Dubai visa online if you need one, which visa options exist, and what the documents, fees and timelines look like.
The right visa for a Caymanian traveler is not one single product. The right option depends on your passport, your travel dates and how long you plan to stay. Dubai E Visa Online is a private visa application service. It is not a government body, and UAE immigration makes every approval decision.
Do not assume you need a paid visa, and do not assume you don't. UAE authorities set the entry rules, and those rules can change.
Here is what we could verify. Visa-free entry to the UAE is generally described for British citizens, and the UK Foreign Office entry advice for the UAE is written for people travelling on a full "British citizen" passport. A Cayman Islands passport is a British Overseas Territories passport. We could not confirm from a primary UAE source that it receives the same treatment.
That means a Caymanian passport Dubai visa question comes down to one thing: what your passport says. Check the nationality line before you book or pay for anything.
If you are told a pre-arranged visa is needed, an online application is one way to arrange it. If you are told you can enter without one, you do not need to pay for a visa. Either way, get the answer first.
Living in the Cayman Islands is not the same as holding Cayman Islands nationality. The UAE looks at the passport you travel on, not your home address. Three groups often mix this up:
The phrase Dubai visa for Caymanian residents is ambiguous because it can mean any of these three. Start by deciding which one you are. Your passport nationality drives the visa decision. Your Cayman address is only your country of residence on the form. The Dubai E Visa Online form reflects this by asking separately which country you are a citizen of and which country you live in.
Many people who live in the Cayman Islands hold passports from other countries. If that is you, your nationality decides your UAE entry status. A Cayman work permit or residence status does not make you a Caymanian citizen, and it does not change the rules for your passport.
If you search for a Dubai visa for foreign residents in Cayman Islands, treat it as two steps. First, find the UAE entry rule for your passport nationality. Second, enter that nationality as your citizenship on the application, with the Cayman Islands as your country of residence. Do not apply under the Caymanian option unless you hold a Cayman Islands passport.
The form shows what documents it asks for as you go. Do not assume a Cayman residence document is required or accepted until the application says so.
There are two layers of requirements, and they should not be mixed up. UAE immigration sets entry rules and can ask for extra information. Dubai E Visa Online sets what it needs to prepare and submit your file. The items below come from the live Cayman Islands product page, so they are service requirements, not official government rules.
The Dubai visa requirements for Cayman Islands residents who hold another passport follow the same logic. They depend on the passport you submit, not on your Cayman address.
According to the product page, each traveler should prepare:
Photos and scans should be clear. Do not cover any part of the passport page with paper, a finger or any other object. Each traveler needs their own set, and every detail you type should match the passport exactly.
Passport rules can differ slightly between a service checklist and what an airline enforces at the airport. Check both before you travel.
If you decide a visa is needed, a Dubai tourist visa from Cayman Islands is the usual route for holidays and family visits, while business and transit products serve narrower purposes. The Cayman Islands page lists one set of products, so Caymanian passport holders Dubai visa choices come down to stay length, entry type and budget. Each product has an entry type, a permitted stay and a visa validity window. These are three different things:
For a wider overview of categories, see this guide to Dubai visa types.
The 30-day products suit a typical holiday or family trip. On the product card, single entry starts at $154 and multiple entry starts at $450 per person. Both allow a 30-day stay with a 60-day window to enter, and the card marks both as extendable by up to 30 days. An extension depends on current rules and is not automatic.
Choose single entry if you will arrive, stay and fly home. Choose multiple entry if you expect to leave the UAE and return on the same visa during the validity window.
The 60-day single entry product starts at $421, and the multiple entry product starts at $700. Both allow a 60-day stay with a 60-day validity window. The card shows the single entry product as extendable by up to two weeks and the multiple entry product as not extendable.
A longer stay makes sense for extended family visits or a long holiday. If your plans are shorter than 30 days, the shorter product is usually the more economical choice.
Other products on the Cayman page serve narrower needs:
Choosing between them comes down to your real plans. A weekend stopover points to the 7-day product. A two-week holiday fits the 30-day single entry product, with room for a few spare days. A five-week family visit points to the 60-day products. If you plan to leave the UAE and come back, price the multiple entry options against two single entry visas before deciding. Buying a longer product than you need raises the cost without adding value, and a stay that is shorter than your trip can create problems later.
The online process has five practical steps. For a shorter explainer, see the guide to getting a Dubai visa in three easy steps.
Before starting a Dubai visa application for Caymanian citizens, have your passport, photo and travel dates in front of you. Unclear scans or mismatched details can slow things down.
The process does not change depending on where you live. Whether you are in George Town, West Bay, Bodden Town or Cayman Brac, what matters is your passport and your travel plan.
Prices depend on the visa type, the stay length, the entry type and the processing option. Dubai E Visa Online states that its prices include UAE government charges plus its own service fee. The product page does not itemise the two, so treat each figure as one all-in service price. It is not an official government fee. For background on what makes up the cost, read this explainer on Dubai visa fees.
The Dubai visa price for Caymanian citizens on each product card is a "starting from" price per person, shown in US dollars. We have kept those USD figures unchanged and added approximate AED and Cayman Islands dollar equivalents. Conversions use the long-standing fixed rates of US$1 = AED 3.6725 and CI$1 = US$1.20, rounded.
| Visa Type | Price (USD) | Price (AED) | Price (Cayman Islands Dollar, KYD) |
|---|---|---|---|

"The prices shown above are approximate and may vary depending on the visa type, nationality, processing time, and other applicable factors. The final fee will be confirmed at the time of application."
Prices are per person. If you are applying for a family, multiply by the number of travelers and confirm the total at checkout.
Processing times on the product page are estimates, not promises. They do not include the time you need to gather documents or fix problems. The page gives times in "days" without saying whether they are working days, so allow extra time.
| Visa | Processing estimate | Stay | Visa validity | Entry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 7 Day Short | 1–2 days | 7 days | 60 days | Single |
| 14 Day Business | 1–2 days | 14 days | 58 days | Single |
| 30 Day Single | 3–4 days | 30 days | 60 days | Single |
| 30 Day Multiple | 3–4 days | 30 days | 60 days | Multiple |
| 60 Day Single | 3–4 days | 60 days | 60 days | Single |
| 60 Day Multiple | 3–4 days | 60 days | 60 days | Multiple |
| 90 Day Leisure | 1–2 days | 90 days | 60 days | Single |
| 48 Hour Transit | 1–2 days | 48 hours | 30 days | Single |
| 96 Hour Transit | 4–5 days | 96 hours | 30 days | Single |
Read the table by column. Processing time tells you how long you may wait. Stay tells you how long you can remain. Validity tells you the window for entering. A 30-day visa with a 60-day validity window does not let you stay for 60 days.
Apply well before your travel date, and be careful about booking non-refundable flights before approval. The product page itself recommends booking flights once the visa is approved.
If your travel date is close, you can look at express Dubai visa options. Express handling exists for time-sensitive trips. We do not quote an express turnaround or price here, because those are set on the express page and may differ from the standard estimates above.
Compare before paying more. Several standard products already show estimates of one to two days, and express handling does not guarantee approval. If your trip is a week or more away and your documents are ready, standard processing may be enough. Express is more likely to be worth considering when your departure is only a few days off, when you have already fixed your flights, or when you are correcting an earlier problem against a deadline. Even then, a complete and accurate file matters more than speed, because errors cost time under any processing option.
After you submit, you can check your Dubai visa status online. The product page lists online status tracking and chat, email and phone support.
Keep your application reference and passport number handy. If you notice a wrong detail after submitting, contact support promptly. Whether a correction is possible depends on the stage your application has reached, so do not wait until the day before you fly. If an update looks slow, compare it with the processing estimate for your visa type before assuming something is wrong. For a step-by-step walkthrough, read how to check Dubai visa status online.
No application can be made rejection-proof, and UAE immigration decides every case. These are common avoidable problems:
To understand what else can go wrong, read about the common reasons for Dubai visa rejection. If an application is refused, read the stated reason, correct the problem and speak to support before you reapply. Resubmitting the same file rarely helps.
A visa, if you need one, is only part of entry. Airlines and immigration officers also look at your passport, your travel documents and your intended stay.
Transit is a separate case. A transit visa is only relevant if you are changing planes in the UAE without a full visit, and eligibility depends on your nationality, itinerary, airline, airport, how long you wait and whether you stay airside. Do not buy a transit product on the assumption that it covers a layover until you have confirmed those points with your airline. If you plan to leave the airport for sightseeing, a tourist visa is usually the better fit.
Extensions are conditional. Some products are marked extendable, but approval depends on the visa type and the rules in force at the time, so apply before your stay ends. Overstaying can lead to fines and travel problems. Amounts and any grace period change over time, so confirm the current position with ICP instead of relying on older articles.
Also check current official travel advice for the UAE before you book, and make sure your travel insurance covers your plans.
A few habits make the process smoother for Cayman-based travelers:
A final point on identity. Being a Caymanian citizen, living in the Cayman Islands and holding a Cayman Islands passport are three different facts. Most applicants share all three, but not everyone does. A citizen living abroad, or an expat living in George Town, should apply under the passport they actually hold. Getting that right at the start avoids the most confusing kind of correction later.
The next step depends on your entry check. If you have confirmed that you need a visa, you can start your Dubai visa application and choose the product that fits your trip. If you are unsure, resolve that first, because the right answer may save you the cost of a visa altogether.
