14 Day Business Visa
E-visa • Single Entry
Start with the good news: Barbados appears on the UAE's list of nationalities that receive a 90-day visit visa on arrival. For most Barbadian travelers this means you can land in the Emirates, show your passport and be admitted without arranging anything beforehand. If you would still like approval in hand before you leave Bridgetown, you can apply for a Dubai visa online through our service. This page explains how to decide.
Barbados is a single island, so the journey to the Gulf always starts with a long-haul connection. The island also has residents who live there on work or residence permits and carry other passports. Both facts affect your plan, and both are covered below.
A UAE government page lists "Barbados" in its 90-day visit-visa-on-arrival table. It describes the arrival visa for that group as multiple entry, valid for six months from the date of issue, with up to 90 days of stay in total. Our own live product page makes the same basic point about a 90-day arrival stamp. Wording and conditions can change, so confirm the current rule with your airline or the UAE foreign ministry before you book.
What this means for you:
Here is the comparison that matters. The pre-arranged 90 Day Leisure product on our site is listed as single entry with 60 days of validity. The arrival route, as one government page describes it, is wider: multiple entry within six months. So for a normal holiday, a paid pre-arranged visa adds pre-approval and not extra freedom. We would rather say so plainly than sell you something you do not need.
When does pre-approval still make sense? Usually for travelers who value certainty before boarding: first-time visitors, families with several children, or anyone who wants a saved approval on a phone before a long flight. None of that is a legal requirement for a Barbadian passport. It is a comfort choice, so weigh it against the fee table later on this page.
Stays beyond 90 days need a different visa category or a lawful extension, and both depend on current rules. Plan that before you leave, not at the airport in Dubai.
How should you confirm the rule yourself? Do it in three steps. Ask your airline what it will check at the Bridgetown desk. Read the UAE foreign ministry's visa guidance for your nationality. Then check the date on any page you rely on, because arrival lists have been updated several times in recent years. A rule that was right two years ago may not be right now.
Entry conditions come from UAE authorities and are enforced by airlines at check-in. A visa service does not set them.
Travel-information sites commonly cite two conditions: a passport with at least six months of validity, and proof of onward or return travel. Some say passport rules can depend on the airport, and some warn that airlines may refuse boarding without the right documents. Treat these as points to confirm with your carrier, not as fixed rules.
A short checklist before you leave Bridgetown:
If anything here differs from what your airline or the UAE government says, follow them.
The table shows how the choice usually works.
| Your situation | Likely route |
|---|---|
| Holiday or visit within 90 days | Arrival entry may be enough |
| You want approval before you fly | A pre-arranged e-visa |
| You travel on a non-Barbadian passport | Check that passport's own rule first |
| You plan to work in the UAE | A tourist visa does not cover this |
A pre-arranged e-visa is delivered electronically, so there is no embassy visit. If you decide to buy a Dubai tourist visa from Barbados, you complete the form online and receive the approval by email. For a wider comparison of categories, read our guide to Dubai visa types.
Transit travel is a separate question. A transit product depends on your itinerary, the airport, the layover length and whether you leave the airport. Because Barbadian passports already have an arrival route, ask your airline before buying any transit visa.
The application page lists a 30-day single-entry product and a 30-day multiple-entry product for Barbados. Keep three terms apart:
Against a 90-day arrival route, a 30-day product gives a shorter stay. Its value is pre-approval and, for the multiple-entry version, flexibility to leave and return. The cards say both can be extended by up to 30 days. An extension is conditional and never automatic.
The 60-day single-entry product is extendable by up to two weeks, according to its card. The 60-day multiple-entry product is not extendable. Both still give less stay than the 90-day arrival route, so they suit travelers who want pre-approval for a trip they know fits within 60 days, or who hold a passport that does not get the Barbadian arrival rule.
A separate 90-day leisure card shows a 90-day stay, 60 days of validity, single entry and no extension. It matches the arrival stay in length, though not in entry type.
Choose by your real dates, not by the longest option. A longer product costs more, and you only benefit from the days you use.
If plans change once you are in the UAE, some visit visas can be extended from inside the country. Availability and cost depend on the visa and on current authority rules, and an extension is never guaranteed. Read our guide to Dubai visa extension procedures before you travel, and do not rely on one when you book a fixed return flight.
Paperwork is only half the preparation. Barbados has no land borders, so every trip involves a flight connection. We do not publish routes, airlines or schedules, because they change. Confirm each sector, connection time and baggage rule directly with your carrier.
Some practical points that are specific to Barbados:
Passport timing deserves its own check. Many entry rules count the months left on your passport from the day you enter, not from the day you book. A passport that looks fine today may fall short by the time you travel. If yours is within a year of expiry, renew it first, then book flights and, if you want one, a pre-arranged visa. Renewing late can force you to rebook, and rebooking a long-haul trip costs far more than any visa fee.
Most Barbadian travelers can rely on the arrival route, but a Dubai visit visa from Barbados is available online if you want it. Because the e-visa arrives by email, the lack of a nearby embassy matters much less than it might seem.
UAE rules look at the passport you hold, not at where you live. The Dubai visa requirements for Barbados residents are therefore not one list. They depend on nationality, and there is no separate UAE category called a Dubai visa for Barbadian residents.
Separate three profiles:
Dual nationals should pick one passport and use it consistently for the ticket, any visa application and airport entry.
Many people live in Barbados on work or residence permits and carry passports from other countries. Published UAE arrival lists place some of those nationalities in 30-day or 90-day groups, and others need a pre-arranged visa. Lists change, so confirm your own passport's current rule with your airline before relying on it. Do not apply the Barbadian rule to another passport.
A Barbados residence or work permit shows where you live. We found no UAE rule that treats it as a substitute for a visa. If your passport requires a pre-arranged visa, apply with your passport details and leave plenty of time. Processing estimates are not guarantees, and you want room to fix any problem before departure.
Airport entry conditions and the documents asked for in a visa application are different things. The Dubai visa requirements for Barbadian citizens that apply to this service's form are shown on the live application page. They are service requirements, not necessarily government rules.
At the time of writing, the application page asks for:
Always follow the checklist in the form itself, because it is the one that applies to your application.
Tips for a clean submission:
Families from Bridgetown who mix passports should work out each person's entry route first. Then apply only for the people who need or want a pre-arranged visa.
A Dubai visa application from Barbados is completed online with no embassy visit. People often search for Dubai visa application online Barbados and land on pages that ignore the arrival rule, so here is the sequence that fits a Barbadian traveler.
The flow is the same for every nationality. Our short guide, Dubai visa in three easy steps, walks through it. If you like to sort everything at home, a Dubai visa online from Barbados lets you do that without a consular appointment.
Fees depend on the product. The table uses the "starting from" prices on the live cards, per person. AED amounts follow the dirham's dollar peg, and BBD amounts follow the two-to-one Barbados dollar peg.
| Visa Type | Price (USD) | Price (AED) | Price (BBD) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7 Day Short | $125 | AED 459 | BBD 250 |
| 30 Day Single | $154 | AED 566 | BBD 308 |
| 30 Day Multiple | $450 | AED 1,653 | BBD 900 |
| 60 Day Single | $421 | AED 1,546 | BBD 842 |
| 60 Day Multiple | $700 | AED 2,571 | BBD 1,400 |
| 90 Day Leisure | $850 | AED 3,122 | BBD 1,700 |
| 48 Hour Transit | $121 | AED 444 | BBD 242 |
| 96 Hour Transit | $137 | AED 503 | BBD 274 |
The prices shown above are approximate and may vary depending on the visa type, nationality, processing time, and other applicable factors. The final fee will be confirmed at the time of application.
The USD amounts come straight from the product cards and are unchanged. None of these figures is an official government fee. The site's own disclosure says each price combines the government fee and the service fee.
Anyone searching Dubai visa cost from Barbados will see wide gaps between products. The main drivers are length of stay, single or multiple entry, processing speed and the number of travelers, since prices are per person. When you weigh a Dubai visa price for Barbadian citizens against the arrival route, remember what you would be buying: pre-approval, a document in hand, or a specific entry type. For a wider view of how costs are built, read our guide to Dubai visa fees.
Processing estimates on the live cards differ by product. Treat them as estimates, not promises.
| Product | Stay | Visa validity (entry window) | Entry | Processing estimate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 7 Day Short | 7 days | 60 days | Single | 1-2 days |
| 30 Day Single | 30 days | 60 days | Single | 3-4 days |
| 30 Day Multiple | 30 days | 60 days | Multiple | 3-4 days |
| 60 Day Single | 60 days | 60 days | Single | 3-4 days |
| 60 Day Multiple | 60 days | 60 days | Multiple | 3-4 days |
| 90 Day Leisure | 90 days | 60 days | Single | 1-2 days |
| 48 Hour Transit | 48 hours | 30 days | Single | 1-2 days |
| 96 Hour Transit | 96 hours | 30 days | Single | 4-5 days |
Read the columns together. A visa with 60 days of validity does not give a 60-day stay. Stay is how long you can remain, and validity is the window in which you must enter.
Some text on the live site mentions a 24-hour or 24-48 hour turnaround. The product cards are more specific, so use the card estimate for your chosen visa. Delays can follow unclear photos, mismatched names or missing information. If your flight is close, apply earlier than you think you need to.
If your departure is close, the Dubai express visa service is the place to start. Express handling depends on the product and on your application. It does not guarantee issuance and cannot change a decision made by UAE immigration.
Even with express handling, leave a buffer for your long-haul connection. For many Barbadian travelers on a short trip, the better question is whether a visa is needed at all. If the answer is no, express is not relevant.
After you apply, keep your reference number. You can use the Dubai visa status page to check progress at any time. Our guide on how to check Dubai visa status online explains what each stage usually means.
A few points for Barbadian travelers:
Not every application is approved. A refusal can happen even when the traveler did everything right, and we cannot promise it is always preventable. Some causes are common and avoidable:
A Dubai visit visa for Barbadian citizens can be refused like any other, and an approved visa does not guarantee entry at the airport. Read our guide to common reasons for Dubai visa rejection to check your file before you submit.
A separate risk is a fake or altered approval. Only trust a visa that came through the application you submitted yourself, and never pay a third party who contacts you with an offer you did not request.
If an application is declined, read the notice, correct what is wrong and decide whether you still need the visa. A Barbadian passport holder on a short trip may be able to rely on the arrival route instead, subject to the current rule and the officer's decision at the airport.
If you are unsure whether you need a visa, start with the arrival route at the top of this page. If you do need one, or you want pre-approval, you can start your application online and track it as it moves.
