On 10 September 2026, Algeria announced it was cutting diplomatic relations with the UAE. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Algerian residents and visitors in the UAE would be unaffected. We have not seen any official change to UAE visit-visa rules for Algerian passport holders, but conditions can shift quickly, and approval always rests with UAE immigration.
Flights are the practical risk. Algeria closed its airspace to UAE-registered aircraft from 11 September, with an exemption for commercial flights to Algiers until the end of 2026. Direct service has changed during the year, so:
- Confirm your route and airline before you pay for anything.
- Buy tickets after your e-visa is approved.
- Check MOFA again shortly before you travel.
How to Pay for a Dubai Visa from Algeria
Visa fees are quoted in US dollars, and payment is by Visa or Mastercard. For travelers in Algeria, that is often the first obstacle. A card issued for domestic use may not work for foreign-currency online payments.
Algerian banks have been expanding international payment cards this year. Under Bank of Algeria Instruction 07-2026, effective 19 July 2026, the annual foreign-currency travel allowance is now credited to an international card rather than paid in cash. Before you apply, ask your bank:
- Whether your card is enabled for international online payments
- What monthly or per-transaction limits apply
- Whether you can pay in foreign currency from your account

One rule keeps the options clear. Stay is how long you may remain per entry. Visa validity is the window in which you must enter. Entries is how many times you may enter. A 30-day visa with 60 days of validity means you must enter within 60 days and can stay up to 30 days.
Dubai Visit Visa for Algerians Visiting Family
Many Algerian travelers visit family. A relative living in the UAE can sponsor you directly, or you can apply through us and list their details as your host. The 30-day single-entry visa starts from $154, and the 60-day single-entry visa from $421.
Dubai Tourist Visa from Algeria for a Holiday

Dubai Visa Application from Algiers, Oran and Other Cities
Everything happens online, so applicants in Algiers, Oran, Constantine or smaller towns follow identical steps. Nobody needs to travel to the capital.
Planning the trip takes more thought. Dubai is three hours ahead of Algiers, and a nonstop flight takes about 6.5 to 7 hours when one is operating. Because direct service has been unsettled in 2026, some travelers connect through hubs such as Istanbul or Doha. Check current schedules and your airline's document requirements, and carry a printed copy of your approved e-visa for check-in.
Dubai Visa for Algerian Passport Holders Living in France
If you live in France on an Algerian passport, apply as an Algerian citizen. In June 2026 the UAE extended visa-on-arrival to nationals of six named countries (Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Kenya and South Africa) who hold residence permits from the US, EU states, the UK and several others. Algeria is not among those six, so a titre de séjour does not give Algerian passport holders visa-on-arrival.

- If you also hold a French passport, the rules for that passport apply instead. Use one passport for the whole trip, because UAE entry guidance says dual nationals must arrive and depart on the same passport.
- French passport holders fall into a different entry category, so check MOFA rather than relying on this page.
Dubai Visa for Algerians Living in the United States
Algerian passport holders living in the US still need a pre-approved Dubai visa. The rules that grant visa-on-arrival to people with Green Cards or US residence permits cover only specific nationalities, and Algeria is not among them at the time of writing. A carte de résident equivalent in the US, meaning a Green Card or visa, may be requested as a supporting document.
- Apply with an Algerian passport valid for at least six months.
- Check airline routes and entry-document requirements before booking.
- If you hold a US passport, you're in a different entry category. Check MOFA for your passport instead.
If you live in Algeria, France or the US with a passport from somewhere else, your own passport nationality mainly determines the route, and a residence permit may be requested as a supporting document.
Dubai Visa Documents Required for Algerian Citizens
Have clear colour scans or phone photos ready:
- Passport data page, with all four corners visible and at least six months' validity
- A recent photo on a white background, in colour
- Flight details, return or onward. We recommend booking only after approval.
- Accommodation details: a hotel booking, or a host's details. If you're staying with a relative, you can share their Emirates ID.
Your passport should have at least four blank pages. Copy names exactly as printed in Latin letters on the passport, not from a French or Arabic document. If you apply from outside Algeria, a residence permit or visa copy may also be requested.
